Using the service

Зорепад forecasts meteor-shower visibility as a website and a mobile app. By using either, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.

Forecasts are estimates, not guarantees

Peak times, radiant altitude, moon illumination, viewing windows, and visibility ratings are computed from established astronomical formulas and public data (IMO/IAU shower parameters), and — for the app’s tonight forecast and alerts — from third-party weather data. Meteor showers are naturally variable and local conditions differ, so actual rates can differ from any forecast. Nothing here is a promise that you will see a meteor shower on a given night.

No professional advice

Content is for general informational and entertainment purposes only and isn’t a substitute for professional astronomical, safety, or travel advice — use common sense and check local conditions before travelling to a viewing location, especially remote or unlit areas at night.

Premium subscriptions and purchases

The app offers an optional Premium upgrade (extra alert locations, the sky scanner/compass, home-screen widgets, and more) in two forms:

• an auto-renewing weekly subscription at US$4.99 per week, which may include a free trial where offered; and
• a one-time lifetime purchase at US$29.99.

Prices vary by country and currency and are always shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.

An auto-renewing subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Where a free trial is offered, it automatically converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends, and any unused portion of a trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription during it. The lifetime option is a single, non-recurring purchase — not a subscription.

You can manage or cancel a subscription any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies. See our Privacy Policy for how purchase and subscription data are handled.

Acceptable use

Don’t scrape, reproduce, or redistribute the service’s content at scale, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, or use it for any unlawful purpose. Reasonable personal use — checking your local forecast, setting alerts, sharing a link — is exactly what it’s for.

Joining a waitlist or newsletter creates no obligation on either side. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle the email address you provide.

No warranty, limitation of liability

The website and app are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for any damages arising from your use of the service or reliance on its forecasts.

Changes

We may update these terms or the service itself at any time. We’ll update the “last updated” date above when we do.
